Free Is Better

I can't wait till Easter! I have been running around trying to get everything ready and scoring some free stuff at Fry's and Walmart.

Fry's:
(28) Libby's canned vegetables @ .25 each
(2) Ziploc Versa Glass containers for $1 each
(10) Purina One Beyond cat food boxes for free (booklet -2 MQ + TQ did 2 boxes per transaction)
(20) Dial hand soap for free
(3) Colgate toothpaste for free (lame cashier wouldn't give me measly .21c overage)
(4) Suave deodorants for free (using in Easter packs)
I also got
(4) Birds Eye Steamfresh vegetables for free
(4) Farmer John bacon @ .50 each
(2) 1 dozen eggs also .50 each
 and a bunch of Cadbury and Reeses Eggs also for free (Circle K tearpad MQ)

Walmart:
(4) Similac formula at -$1.18 each (for my cousin C)
(4) Purex 3-in-1 trial sheets -.03 each (I finally found! it has a $1q but it's not valid on travel size)

Of course, I didn't do the Fry's stuff all at one store. Thankfully, I have 12 Fry's in a 5 mile radius (crazy huh?) so not a lot of driving, thank god it's flipping hot outside. I'm don't usually pay for coupons (I get an average of 4 newspapers each week for free that's enough for me) but we go through a lot of hand soap so I decided to buy some of the Dial .35/1 coupons on Ebay, it was $3.49 total but I used my Groupon credit thing so it was even less.

Everything else I got was Easter related. I finished up my Easter prize packs (or should I call them gift baskets? they aren't in baskets though). You know that part in Sex in the City when Charlotte ends up with that gigantic gaudy flower arrangement for Miranda's mom? They kinda remind me of that. I'll post them later you be the judge.

Hopefully tomorrow I won't be lazy and will go to a few thrift stores and/or yard sales.

I must warn you, I went out of town this weekend to visit family and left my camera. So these pictures are taken with my phone, I'm trying to find my old camera, hopefully I'll have it by this weekend for my Goodwill trips. Anyway, here we go:

Fry's, this was my 1st stop, so no groceries/perishables.

Total with tax: $6.33 according to the receipt I save 91% or 45.06

Target

1st Transaction:

Total with tax: $6.45 and got a $5 gift card
2nd Transaction:
(4) Airwick Freshmatic (I could have saved the Q's for CVS next week, but I want these)
(4) Venus Embrace razor
(4) Eveready AA batteries (I thought 2 were AAA but they were "gold" versions)
Gilligan & O'Malley sleep shirt (I found a crumpled CAT for 15% off)
Liz Lange Sweater (don't ask me why I bought this, I'm not pregnant, but it was $1.98)
Total with tax and $5 GC from 1st transaction: $5.52

Petsmart

(2) Hill's Science Diet Cat Food

20lb. ExquisiCat Fresh Scent Premium Clay litter (not pictured it's big & kinda ugly)
Total with tax: $7.23 (I didn't have the $5 off coupon boo)

2nd Target (I wasn't planning this but hey, why not?)

1st Transaction:
(2) Olay Facial Wipes (I would rather have this than the cleanser I got above, but it was wiped out at the other store)
Total with tax: $6.43 and got a $5 gift card
2nd Transaction:
(2) Diet Pepsi Skinny 4-packs (wasn't I just complaining about Pepsi?!)
(2) People magazines (both with Reese, I couldn't find anything else)

Scotch scissor (this was a re-package item $1.41, thankfully I had my $1 Q with me)
Dove Men+Care bodywash (I have 3 more MQ's but only 1 TQ with me :sad:)
Total with tax: $3.31, used GC from above, so $0 OOP + I have $1.69 remaining on the card.

Total for the day: $31.96 eep kinda high, but most of it was tax, plus I got good food for my babies :)
